The Sunday Morning City Skate is a perfect way to ease into the city skating scene. We skate the streets of the city at a time when there's little traffic.

If you're comfortable/confident striding, stopping, and turning, but have only stuck to path skating, this is a chance for you to experience a broad array of routes, terrain and road surfaces; participate in a group skate with no pressure to keep up with more advanced skaters; and to become a better skater and increase your enjoyment of this sport. This event also provides an opportunity for you to know if you're capable of the Tuesday Night Skates.

We meet at 10:15 a.m. at JFK Park, Corner of Memorial Drive & JFK St., Cambridge, Mass. Participants must wear helmets and wrist guards, and complete safety gear is encouraged. The skate will be cancelled due to rain or other bad weather, with no notification posted.

Getting to JFK Park: Take the subway (red line T) to Harvard Sq., or if driving, you can park on most streets since Cambridge's resident-only parking restriction is lifted on Sundays. We normally park on Memorial Drive (just to the West of JFK park) or Mt. Auburn St, and skate over to the park.
